Fusion Beat at stars2come

Fusion Beat is a great band that brings a full sound to their music. This eight member band was formed while most of them were in Jr. High School, and they are rocking every venue they perform at. Their music ranges from the present time to decades past capturing audiences everywhere. All this started from a few songs they threw together for their school talent show.

Ranging from thirteen years of age to sixteen this fine tuned band is composed of, vocalist Mark Desmond, Mary Desmond and Sean Walsh. On guitars are lead, Jason Campbell, rhythm Robert Guzman, and bass Zach Olshan. Keyboardist Michael Gall and drums Tyler Kong. They each brought their individual talents together to form the awesome band, Fusion Beat.

Their first weekend performing together was for Ryan’s Reach a fundraiser for Traumatic Brain injured and the Baldrick’s Foundation which supports children with cancer. Fusion Beat is so amazing that they had the great honor of performing for the House of Blues Disney twice, and have been invited back for a third performance. They said, the venue it self was awesome, including the sound system, and the way the House of Blues staff treated them. The enthusiastic audience was a plus and their fans just poured out to support them. So far this has been their largest performance, but they have performed over 50 shows at many different venues.

They have a fantastic original song out called, “Gimme”. The song came from their band manager. He had his own band in the 80’s and this is where the song came from, then Fusion Beat revised it to make it their own, and it is dynamite! They say, they are very thankful for the band members of Mass Confusion for helping Fusion Beat to create some original music. Fusion Beat made a awesome video for this song, and creating the story line was a lot of fun for them and were able to involve many people.

Fusion Beat is a all around American band, that could very easily stand the test of time like many great bands before them. They have been recognized for their talents in music. Just this year Fusion Beat was honored with the People’s Choice Award at the 2012 OC Music Awards. They were also the winners of the Taste of Ladera youth talent contest, and St. Timothy’s Spring Fling Battle of the Bands. This is one exciting band that will keep everyone on their feet where ever they perform. If Fusion Beat comes near you do not miss it, it will be one of the best shows ever!

Great article about this group of very talented young musicians.  I really enjoyed this original song and video  and was also blown away by their YouTube videos of  live performances of cover tunes from 70s and 80s classic rock bands.  Thanks for discovering this hidden treasure!
