Here is a great guy with lots of potential. Angelo is a vocalist and guitarist who started out singing to oldies in the back seat of his dad’s car when he was about eight years old. He started performing soon after in the fourth grade when he joined his first children’s choir. This was the Prelude chapter of Eastern Area Youth Chorale of Pittsburgh, they held annual concerts. He soon was performing in many places including his school, St. Johns the Baptist in Plum when he was in the eighth grade. They put on a play called, “His Last Days” about the passion and death of Jesus. He was very blessed to play the part of Jesus. He said, it was very humbling. This year he produced and directed his third annual recital to benefit the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. He says, it was an exhilarating performance. Angelo and his friends performed this in December at his school, and everyone performing had to imitate the artists they were covering.
Angelo has done very well when it comes to awards. In the eighth grade he competed in the Onstage New York talent competition, and won the platinum award in vocal with the song, “Electricity” from Billy Elliot. He has also been awarded at CAPA for being the most improved sophomore vocal majors.
For Angelo singing is refreshing. He can relax, and all his school troubles and problems just melt away, but the best part is the performing and the energy he feels when he is on stage. He gets a lot of his inspiration from Michael Jackson, because his talent was unbelievable and Justin Bieber because he is living Angelo’s dream.
He has been working on writing songs, but he does not have as many as he would like. So far he says, he has five good songs, and most of his songs come from something he has been thinking about. One song he wrote was on the last day of school about, summer. Angelo is doing a great job with his career. He gets out and performs at many places, with a lot of them to help others in some way. He is a very kind and caring person often looking to do something in the positive way. He hopes to some day to make it as an artist, and do what he loves, perform.
